PEMF Therapy

These days PEMF therapy is a hot topic in the holistic health community, but what is it and what can it do for you? To answer that question is it beneficial to look back at how PEMF therapy has developed over the last 65 years or so. The use of low frequency pulsed electromagnetic fields to improve health began primarily with research in Japan shortly after World War 2. It quickly spread to other Asian and European countries and virtually every country developed their own version. Recently NASA researchers began to confirm the health benefits of PEMF, especially for astronauts that suffer health damage from their time outside of the Earth’s strong, low frequency electromagnetic field. Some PEMF therapy ads claim NASA “invented” PEMF therapy and thus ignore the 1600 published double blind placebo controlled studies listed by the N.I.H., most of which were done in other countries and dating back decades before NASA’s interest in this amazing technology. What can I say, we are Americans and we like to think that we invented everything. When it comes to using non-drug, inexpensive natural therapies nothing could be further from the truth…. but I digress….

What does PEMF mean to you? How can it improve the quality of your life, health, and vitality for you and your family?

We are electric beings: Negating the damaging effects of electrosmog

Chronic degenerative diseases and especially those of brain and nervous system are increasing. Rates of depression, anxiety, ADD, Autism, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s are skyrocketing. Might the world of electromagnetic pollution we live in be contributing to this problem?
According to NASA researchers, human cells will respond to electromagnetic fields that mimic the Earth that are 100,000 times less potent than the Earth’s own field. Clearly, we both ultra-sensitive to and need these healthy PEMF frequencies. The constant disconnect we have from the Earth’s electricity can in many ways can be negated by regular use of a PEMF mat.  We are bombarded with ultra-high frequency electromagnetic pollution. Cells towers, cells phone and cordless phones, WiFi, electrical devices, and now smart meters usually attached to our homes that output every 5 minutes or so and are significantly more powerful than cell phones hit our bodies 24/7.  Of course, all these industries carefully explain how there is no risk from their electro-pollution. But here are some things we do know for a certainty.
Human beings, animals, and the Earth have their own electromagnetic fields at drastically lower frequencies than the high frequency electro-pollution that surrounds us all. The World Health Organization has identified these much higher frequencies as cancer causing. Because we generate electricity and an electromagnetic field around our bodies it stands to reason our bodies would interact with other electromagnetic fields, as noted, in a positive or negative way. Unlike dangerously high frequency EMF fields, PEMF mimics our body’s own EMF field and thus could help negate the negative effects of these. Thousands of studies have consistently proven PEMF therapy to be a safe and effective therapy.

Time to recharge your batteries

Healthy cells have a measurable voltage of 70-100 millivolts at the cell wall, but people with chronic illnesses consistently measure much lower (less than half) and PEMF has the potential to actually recharge us and bring these millivolt levels up to healthy levels. Perhaps some advertisements oversimplify this reality and say that all you need to do is recharge your cells with their PEMF device and you will be healthy again. Of course, it is not that simple. We are human beings not cells phones. We know from the study of subjects like homeopathy, acupuncture and other meridian based therapies that is not always enough to just put more energy into the body, that energy needs to be balanced as well. Energy flow needs to be unblocked and directed to where healing needs to take place and there is a wide array of good natural methods to do this.  Sometimes an excess of energy or chi can be as bad as too little. But having said that, one thing can be said for certain, and that is that most sick people have too little energy overall, and by that, I mean a very low measurable electrical energy at the cellular level, and the fatigue that goes along with it. For this reason, clearly PEMF therapy is an excellent tool to have in a holistic office, because when people are severely challenged with low cellular energy, other therapies work very slowly or not at all.  PEMF therapy may not be a cure all, but if you are already working with a holistic practitioner that understands the complexities of bioenergetic medicine, then PEMF may just be the missing tool that you need.

  • No, the above is not a joke.  There are published studies for all these conditions and many more.

Affordability

The first time I saw and experienced PEMF therapy at a natural health conference 9 years ago, the device was $25,000 (some earlier version where $50,000.) While it was fascinating new technology, it was not within my budget to bring one into my practice and virtually no one we work with could afford it either. The prices gradually came down. Recently some well know companies were selling devices at about $4,000.00 per mat.

When I saw the new Oxford Medical Institute (OMI) mat priced at $1,250.00 and other low-cost accessories, I knew it was finally time to act. This is within the price range of most of the people who seek our services. It has plenty of power and we are already getting great feedback from those who have purchased one.

We are providing the lhere for those who are interested: https://www.pemfsupply.com/collections/store

Please use our code nhsaz for an additional $50 off.

One thing is for certain, and that is PEMF therapy has developed into a powerful therapy to assist with a wide variety of health challenges, and competition among manufacturers has FINALLY brought the prices drastically lower so that the average household can afford their own PEMF mat.  Jack

How to use it

Choose a PEMF mat or device that allow you to set the Hertz according to your needs (call our office for more info).  Once you choose either custom settings or you use a preset frequency range, it is good to use it about 15-20 minutes, two times per day in the morning and evening (for severe injuries or pain use it 5 or 6 times per day). You can read or watch TV while lying on the mat.  Those who are very sick and toxic might need to start more slowly. Also, a sick person might need to use the mat daily for months before the full impact of benefits are seen, and as mentioned because simply putting energy into the body does not always create balance and healing, work with a capable bio-energetic practitioner through this process if possible.
